What is RaicillA?
Like tequila and mezcal, raicilla is an agave spirit that hails from the Mexican states of Jalisco and Nayarit.

Crafted in secret for many years, raicilla is the original agave spirit, forced to go underground in the 18th century to avoid taxes under the Spanish Crown. The moonlight was the only witness to this carefully crafted process.
In 2019 Raicilla was given its Denominación de Origen, making it a protected beverage officially recognized by Mexico, allowing the world to discover and once again experience the history of this hand crafted spirit.

Brilla Luna is based on a generations old family process of our maestro raicillero, Jesus Eduardo Sanchez Enriquez.
Our commitment to the sustainability and authenticity of the local Mexican community can be seen in every aspect of our small batch raicilla. From the hand picked agave in the mountains of Jalisco, to our hand made bottles from recycled glass in the city of Guadalajara, Brilla Luna is an opportunity for all to experience the beauty of Mexico's rich culture and history.
